The thought of putting in fake eyelashes on your eyes may make you feel dreary, but once you master it you will find that it is a great method to make your eyes more inviting, the effect that cannot be provided by mascara alone. Yes, while applying the false eyelashes you need to be very careful as if you not apply them properly or else they can ruin your total makeup and even your evening!
Before you start applying the false eyelashes you need to have the fake eyelashes that go with your eye pattern, eyelash glue, translucent powder, small scissors, liquid eyeliner, mascara and tweezers.
How to Apply False Eyelashes Correctly
Step 1. Prepare the Eyelids
First you need to clean your eyelids so that when you apply the fake eyelashes, they can stick easily. It is necessary to clean the eyelid because excess oil or sebum there will not allow the eyelash adhesive to work. If you are planning to apply eye shadow then you must apply it before applying the eyelashes.
Step 2. Trim the Fake Eyelashes
After you have chosen the appropriate eyelashes for your eyes it’s time to trim them. You need to make sure that the eyelashes are not wider than your eyes. Take proper measurement and trim them in such way that they fit the size of your eyes. You need to trim properly before you stick them on your eyelids. You need to taper them outside so that they look natural.
Step 3. Gluing the Eyelashes
For gluing the eyelashes you need to use high quality glue. Cheap glue will not only give a odd look but may be harmful for your eyes. For applying take some glue on your fingertip and apply it on the fake eyelashes. Do not apply it on your eyelids as it may enter your eyes.
Step 4. Placing the Eyelashes
Let the glue to be tacky and once it is done place the false eyelashes into its position by using a tweezers. Press the eyelashes close to the eyelids as much as possible. You must start with pressing from the outer corner of your eye and then move towards the inner side. After it is done you need to mask the space in between your natural eyelashes and the fake ones.
Step 5. Applying Makeup
Once you have made your eyelashes look lengthy, it time to apply makeup so that they can blend with your natural tone. Use liquid eyeliner to mask the space in between the natural and the fake eyelashes.
Removing the Fake Eyelashes
After enjoying one day of your enhanced look by the fake eyelashes, you got to remove them at night, right? For removing, you simply need a soft cloth that is dipped in warm water, apply it over the lashes. This will soften the glue on the eyelashes. Once done you can easily peel off the lashes. Most of the time you will be able to remove them using this method. However, if you find that it is not working you may use eyelash remover or even petroleum jelly such as Vaseline can help. Apply them at the base of the fake eyelashes where the glue is. After you have removed the eyelashes, clean off all the glue thoroughly then store them in the pack for the eyelash so that you can use it next time.
